Hultsfred Solar Farm Delivers 100 GWh Green Energy Annually

Sweden's largest utility-scale solar farm began operations September 10, 2025, in Småland. The Hultsfred Solar Farm, located at Hultsfred Airport, will supply 100 gigawatt-hours of electricity each year. This output is sufficient to meet the annual energy needs of over 18,000 Swedish households. Neoen and Alight developed the 100 megawatt-peak facility. The project significantly advances Sweden's renewable energy capacity. H&M Group will purchase 95% of the generated power. This agreement supports the company's 2030 renewable electricity targets. Alight CEO Warren Campbell stated the farm represents a major step for Swedish solar production. Construction created approximately 120 local jobs. Neoen has invested nearly USD 235 million in the project since 2020. This large-scale solar installation demonstrates successful international collaboration in developing clean energy infrastructure. The Hultsfred facility sets a benchmark for future renewable energy investments in the region.
