Maverick Ventures Partner Singer Focuses on DNA Sequencing, Digital Health

David B. Singer is a Managing Partner at Maverick Ventures, where he spearheads the firm's private investment strategy. His investment portfolio is primarily focused on DNA sequencing tools, eCommerce platforms, and digital health solutions, according to Forbes. Singer's most prominent deal to date was his involvement with One Medical, a primary care provider acquired by Amazon for $3.9 billion in February 2023. Other significant investments include his role as a founding investor in Seer, a proteomics company that went public in 2020, and Devoted Health, a health insurance provider currently valued at $12.9 billion. Prior to Maverick Ventures, Singer served as the founding CEO of Affymetrix (now Applied Biosystems), a manufacturer of DNA sequencing equipment, as well as pharmaceutical companies Genesoft and Corcept Therapeutics. Throughout his career, he has held board positions at 28 private companies. He currently serves on the boards of Generate Security, Infleqtion, and LTK, among others. Singer also contributes to the community as Vice Chair of the non-profit organization College Track and as a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
