VinEnergo to Install 43 MW Solar and 45 MWh Storage at VinFast Facilities

VinEnergo will equip VinFast, VinES, and V-G manufacturing plants with solar power and battery storage. The agreement, signed August 18, 2025, targets the Vũng Áng Economic Zone in Hà Tĩnh Province. This project aims to bolster green manufacturing practices. The collaboration will deliver 43 MWp of solar capacity alongside 45 MWh of battery energy storage systems. These installations are projected to generate nearly 50 million kWh of electricity annually. This initiative is expected to cut over 33,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. VinEnergo's Deputy General Director, Nguyen Huong Giang, highlighted the company's role in providing comprehensive green energy solutions. She stated the project demonstrates Vietnamese enterprises' commitment to pioneering new technologies for national Net Zero goals. This partnership also establishes VinEnergo as the first in Vietnam to implement direct power purchase agreements integrating solar power with battery storage. The initiative supports government renewable energy promotion policies. It aligns with VinFast, VinES, and V-G's sustainability commitments, reinforcing their green production and transportation value chains.
