Reflex Aerospace Secures €50 Million to Boost European Satellite Manufacturing

Reflex Aerospace, a German satellite manufacturer, has secured €50 million ($58.3 million) in Series A funding. The company intends to utilize the capital to expand its manufacturing capabilities in response to increasing demand for its satellites, which cater to both civil and defense sectors. This investment coincides with Europe's heightened strategic focus on bolstering its defense capabilities. The funding aligns with Germany's commitment to invest €35 billion in space projects and the development of a robust security architecture for outer space over the next five years. CEO Walter Ballheimer emphasized that Europe must develop independent space-based intelligence capabilities and reduce reliance on external providers.
