Kameo provides Scandinavian property companies with faster and more flexible access to capital. Since 2016, the firm has facilitated 8 billion kronor in loans, addressing challenges faced by companies seeking financing. General Manager Fredrik Källgren notes that Kameo finances projects starting from 10 million kronor, with approval times of approximately two weeks—significantly faster than the six to twelve months typically required by traditional banks. Kameo’s financing model leverages a credit fund, partnerships with institutional investors including a major international pension fund, and a network of platform investors. To date, Kameo has brokered over 1,500 loans through this model. In the energy sector, Preem’s Redefine HVO100 biofuel has become the first liquid fuel to receive the Nordic Swan ecolabel under the updated 2022 criteria. Miljömärkning Sverige CEO Anna Linusson explained that certified fuels must demonstrate a minimum 75% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels and utilize sustainably sourced, traceable raw materials, specifically prohibiting palm oil. Preem's biofuel, produced in Gothenburg from residual products such as tall oil, animal fats, and food waste, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by over 90% and can be used in most diesel engines without requiring modifications.
