Storsala Secures Barkarby Rental Apartment Project with BOX Bygg

Dagens Industri reports that real estate company Storsala is expanding its portfolio through a new rental apartment development in Tingsbyn, Barkarby villastad. This significant project will encompass up to 7,400 square meters of gross total area. The development represents a strategic shift for Storsala, which has primarily focused on acquisitions throughout 2025 to bolster its presence in the Stockholm region. Construction is scheduled to commence in January 2026, with completion expected by June 2027. The development is strategically located in a historically significant and culturally rich area of Barkarby villastad. Its advantageous position offers excellent access to amenities and public transportation, including close proximity to Barkarby station and the forthcoming metro line extension. For this venture, Storsala is collaborating with BOX Bygg, a Stockholm-based construction firm renowned for its expertise in sustainable turnkey contracts. This partnership signifies a new strategic alliance designed to enhance Storsala's project delivery capabilities and support its long-term objectives.
