According to a DI report, Swedish technology group Ependion is pursuing ambitious growth by capitalizing on global megatrends and executing strategic acquisitions to establish itself as a leading provider of digital solutions for industrial applications. The company specializes in secure control, management, and data communication within industrial environments, operating through its two business units: Westermo and Beijer Electronics. Westermo is a market leader in communication networks for the rail industry and also maintains a strong presence in the energy sector. Beijer Electronics, the second unit, offers operator panels, also known as Human Machine Interfaces, and holds a significant position in the marine sector. The report highlights that Ependion operates in market segments with lower economic cycle sensitivity, as long-term trends such as digitalization, electrification, and sustainability are the primary drivers of demand.
