Wint Offers Free Company Start-Up to Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Dagens Industri reports that the automated accounting service Wint is offering entrepreneurs a complimentary service to establish a limited liability company (AB). This initiative targets individuals eager to own and manage their businesses, seeking greater control over their time, salary, and work, but who are often discouraged by the administrative complexities of the setup process. Nathalie Björnman, Product Area Manager at Wint, explained that administrative burdens frequently impede entrepreneurial aspirations, as most founders prefer to focus on business planning and client acquisition rather than company registration. A common, albeit costly, alternative is purchasing a shelf company, which can incur fees up to 10,000 SEK, in addition to the 25,000 SEK share capital requirement. To overcome these barriers, Wint has launched a service that provides a fully equipped company, including a bank account, at no cost for new customers. Björnman described this as the most straightforward and economical option available, eliminating the need for entrepreneurs to pay registration fees to the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket) or incur other associated costs. The service has already successfully facilitated the launch of thousands of businesses. Wint's comprehensive package also includes setting up a corporate account with SEB and managing connections with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket), thereby further streamlining the initial operational setup for new business owners.
