Latour Divests Batec Mobility to Decon Wheel AB

Investment AB Latour has announced its agreement to sell all shares in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Batec Mobility S.L.U., to Decon Wheel AB. The transaction, managed through Latour's subsidiary Latour Industries AB, will result in Decon Wheel AB, a Swedish company, acquiring Batec Mobility. Batec Mobility is a manufacturer of electric and manual handbikes with an approximate annual turnover of €5 million and employs around 40 individuals. Investment AB Latour considers Decon Wheel AB a suitable new owner, possessing the necessary resources and strategic alignment to support Batec's future growth. This divestment is subject to customary acquisition conditions and is projected to finalize by October 2025. Investment AB Latour, a diversified investment company with significant industrial operations generating approximately SEK 28 billion in annual turnover and a listed holdings portfolio valued at SEK 88 billion as of August 31, 2025, stated that this sale will not materially impact the Group's financial position. This strategic decision aligns with Latour's ongoing portfolio management strategy. Batec Mobility is recognized for its expertise in handbike technology, contributing to the assistive technology market. The acquisition by Decon Wheel AB, a company headquartered in Hyltebruk, Sweden, suggests a consolidation or strategic expansion within the broader mobility solutions sector.
