Episurf Medical Appoints New CEO Amidst Leadership Transition

Katarina Flodström has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Episurf Medical, succeeding Pål Ryfors. The leadership transition was announced on September 17, 2025. After an eight-year tenure as CEO, Pål Ryfors stepped down at his own request. He will continue with the company, assuming the role of acting Chief Financial Officer. Ryfors explained his decision, stating, "I have been CEO for a very long time, and the company has grown significantly. I assess that a different profile is a better fit at this stage." He also emphasized the substantial progress made under his leadership, adding, "We have come an incredibly long way, and the CEO position requires full energy."
